Different applications for my work?

I created this design for fun and with the intention of getting it printed as stickers to sell either on my Etsy/Redbubble or art markets/cons but my boyfriend suggested I submit it to the Steam Workshop to be used as an in game sticker/decal for CS:GO. I've seen some pretty cool designs on there before but since I don't actually play that game I wasn't sure how it worked. As he is a games dev student, I asked him to turn it into a texture file (something I am completely unfamiliar with) so that I could submit it.
I think this is a pretty cool idea for little spot illustrations that I do and granted it gets approved, it might be a good way to earn a bit of money and get people to see my work.
