Whilst uploading some other work to ISSUU, I noticed an issue of Forge in my suggestions and was immediately grasped by the cover artwork! In her work Vivian Le explores issues such as the objectification and commodification of women and children through doll-like characters.
What struck me about her work is the juxtaposition of the colours/characters with the deeper conversation that's happening with her work. I also immediately recognised how her work is influenced by Hayao Miyazaki and Ghost in the Shell!
This is the issue of Forge, worth a look!
